How to launch an online test series
An online test series platform brings together question preparation, scheduled assessments, student access and results. Choosing one is only the first step. Before selling a series, run a small end-to-end pilot with your own content and confirm that the student experience matches what you promise.
1. Define the series before choosing features
Write down the target exam, syllabus, language, number of tests, release dates and access period. Specify full-length versus chapter tests, question types, marking rules and whether students see solutions immediately or after a scheduled release. Separate essential requirements from features you may use later.
2. Prepare and review the question bank
Use original or licensed questions. If you already have papers, PDF extraction is a different workflow from generating new questions with AI. Check each question, option, answer key and solution before publication. Review equations, diagrams and bilingual formatting on a real student-sized screen.
Assign an educator to approve the final paper. Keep a correction log so a repeated question or wrong key can be traced and corrected without silently changing an assessment students have already taken.
3. Configure access and commercial terms
Decide which tests are samples and which require payment or enrollment. Check the access period, refund policy, payment charges and any subscription or revenue-sharing terms in your proposal. Confirm active-student allowances and AI usage limits rather than assuming an unlimited package.
4. Test the complete student journey
Use a controlled pilot, not your first paid cohort, to verify enrollment, login, test instructions, navigation, submission and result access. Include a slower connection and the devices your students actually use. Confirm the supported behavior for interrupted attempts, time limits, solution release and support requests.
- Can the student find the correct test and understand its rules?
- Do the timer, marks and answer key match the approved paper?
- Are results and solutions available only when intended?
- Can your support team identify and resolve an access problem?
5. Reconcile a migration before switching
For an existing series, inventory students, enrollments, content, access dates and available historical results. ThePrepLab provides done-for-you migration with an agreed scope. Export availability, file quality and validation determine the timeline. Do not close the old system until record counts, a sample of entitlements and the agreed content have been reconciled.
6. Measure the launch
Record paid enrollments, first-test participation, completion and support issues separately. A website visit is not an enrollment, and a demo request is not a paying institute. Review recurring problems with your educators before expanding the cohort or adding more tests.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use existing PDF papers?
Yes, PDF extraction is available. Source quality affects extraction, and educators should review the resulting questions and answer keys before publishing.
Should every test be AI-generated?
No. Choose original, licensed, reused or AI-assisted content according to your syllabus and quality requirements. AI is an assistance tool, not a replacement for educator approval.
How quickly can I migrate?
Agree a timeline after checking exports, content volume, student entitlements and pilot results. There is no universal migration deadline for every institute.
