Upload a PDF, prepare it for extraction, extract its questions and review or edit the result before saving.

Follow the workflow

Edited notes from the tutorial and its published description, not a word-for-word transcript. Screens and available settings can change.

  1. Open Extract, or choose Extract Questions from the Create section.
  2. Select a PDF you have permission to use and upload it.
  3. Choose Prepare PDF and continue, then start extraction.
  4. Review the extracted questions against the source paper.
  5. Open Edit for any question needing a correction, then save the change.

Check before using it with students

Extraction reuses existing questions; it does not create a new paper from a prompt. Compare wording, options, equations, figures and answer keys with the original.
